Swinburne TAFE invites you to find out more about your Marketing, Media and Hospitality options at Swinburne University of Technology.

Experience life as a Swinburne student for a day. By participating in four hands-on workshops:

  1. Advertising, Marketing and Public Relations
  2. Retail Management and Real Estate
  3. Hospitality and Event Management
  4. Management and Library Information Systems

Please note you must attend all four.

If you are currently in year 10 - 12 then this event is for you! Parents and Career Advisers are also welcome to attend this event.

Dr John Butler, a teacher in the Department of Arts, won the Outstanding Teacher/Trainer of the Year Award at the 2006 Victorian Training Awards. The winner of this award is recognised as the best in Victoria's world-class training system.

The Awards recognise the vital contribution made by learners, teachers, employers, training providers and program designers to building a world-class post-compulsory education and training system.

The award was announced at a presentation dinner held at the Crown Palladium on Monday 31st July 2006.

From refugee to cancer intern: a TAFE student's story

Work placements are a regular part of student life, but selection for a highly competitive internship at Cancer Trials Australia marks the highlight of 32 year old Susan Andric's journey from war-torn Yugoslavia.

After spending several years living as a refugee Susan moved to Tullamarine in Melbourne. Upon arriving in Australia she had completed nearly two years of university, and intended to continue her education in her new life.
