Since its establishment in the early 1980's, The Centre for Occupational Health and Safety Training (COHST) has earned an Australia-wide reputation for delivering programs of high quality in the area of First Aid and Occupational Health and Safety. In addition, the Centre offers numerous state and nationally accredited courses and is recognised by the public as a Centre of excellence in training.

Our Aims
- To deliver quality, up to date, flexible and cost effective First Aid, Occupational Health and Safety and Quality Auditing training to all sections of the community
- To provide industry, commerce and government organisations with reliable consultation to meet requirements of the code of practice First Aid and organisational OHS training needs

- Quality Assured - Swinburne University is AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 certified and has embraced the requirements of the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).

- Accessible - Courses are very practical in presentation. Workbooks are designed to be user-friendly and high quality, accurate texts are utilised.

- Cost-Effective - Course fees are at very competitive rates. Organisations can implement cost effective training through the Licensed Trainer Agreement.
