Outstanding Student Awards Night - 2008

Since it's inception in 2001, Swinburne's horticultural 'Student Awards' night has become the department's most anticipated annual event. The evening is a recognition and celebration of the achievements of our most outstanding apprentices, trainees, certificate and diploma students.

Nominated students are joined by their families, employers and teachers for a light hearted evening of fun, awards, supper and socializing. Awards are sponsored by the Rotary Club of Knox, several leading businesses and peak industry bodies such as the N.G.I.V and L.I.A.V.

This year's keynote speaker was well known landscape designer and television presenter John Patrick. The evening also recognises the strong relationship that endures; essential between employers, students and training providers in order to ensure excellent learning outcomes.
