Apprenticeships and Traineeships
As a student, would you prefer to learn on the job?
As an employer, do you believe in teaching by example?
Apprenticeships and traineeships are certificate courses which combine paid work with nationally recognised training.
Students learn skills in a particular industry by working and learning on the job, and also through training with an education provider.
Employers impart their knowledge, literally teaching by example, while gaining the benefit of an extra employee.
Generally three to four years in duration, apprenticeships are available in a range of industries. Traineeships are usually one to two years in duration.
