Training wages
Most apprentices and trainees are paid based on the National Training Wage, which may vary depending on the industry involved.
Wages also vary according to your age, how long you have been out of school and other factors. Speak to an AAC representative for further information.
Living away from home allowance - for work
You may be eligible for Living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA) if you are required to move away from the area where you live because of your specific work commitments or you are homeless. Speak to your AAC representative or visit www.australianapprenticeships.gov.au/jobseeker/assistance.asp
Living away from home allowance - for training
if you have to stay away from home overnight to attend training at Swinburne, you may be eligble for an Accommodation Allowance. Speak to your Swinburne teaching department or Swinburne Student Services on your campus.
