Welcome to the Centre for VET Practice (formerly Innovation in Education)
The role of the Centre is to contribute to the enhancement of the student learning experience through the provision of advice, direction and support to Swinburne TAFE staff to assist in achieving and maintaining excellence in learning, teaching and assessment practice.
This includes;
- Providing programs, resources and services that support and encourage teachers to develop, maintain and extend good teaching and assessment practice
- Promoting and facilitating collaboration and community building
- Providing leadership in learning, teaching and assessment
- Facilitating adoption of new policy and innovative practice in learning, teaching & assessment
- Promoting scholarship of VET learning, teaching and assessment
- Enabling achievement of excellence in teaching and learning
- Enhancing the quality of the student learning experiences
- Encouraging innovation in teaching and learning practice
- Researching VET teaching and professional activities
