TAPiT

Over 40s and Sole Parents

Re-entering the workforce when you're over 40 years of age or a sole parent can seem a daunting task.

A new Swinburne TAFE service is helping to ease this transition by providing individual pathways support for people in this situation.

The Tap into Training (TAPiT) program provides assistance to people over 40 and sole parents to find training opportunities to develop new skills to re-enter the workforce. This support includes individual course advice and options, development of a training plan, assistance with application and enrolment for training and advice on skills shortages. TAPiT staff will offer advice about available financial assistance towards course costs.

Training will be provided by Swinburne from accredited training programs, national training packages or appropriate community programs.
