Health and wellbeing is about feeling good physically, mentally, emotionally and socially. It concerns both individuals and communities and affects every aspect of our lives.

 

Welcome to the Centre for Health and Wellbeing, a research, curriculum, resource and training information centre within the TAFE School of Social Sciences at Swinburne University of Technology. The Centre focuses on the provision of innovative training, the development of curriculum and resources and research into workforce training needs.

  • people currently working in the health and community sectors.
  • people interested in working in health and wellbeing


The Centre for Health and Wellbeing aims to:

  • develop a well-trained workforce
  • promote and provide flexible training in health and wellbeing throughout Victoria
  • provide online resources to link people to health, arts, and recreation information
  • provide innovative curriculum design in health and wellbeing
  • promote and support research
  • respond to new skill and knowledge requirements of state and local government
  • form new alliances and partnerships with community health agencies, local and state government

There are several Centres across the TAFE and Higher Education sectors of Swinburne. Having access to particular expertise through the University structure is a great advantage to the Centre for Health and Wellbeing.
