The Centre has undertaken a number of projects
relating to health promotion, curriculum and training design, resource
development,and community and staff health and wellbeing. Staff
has both qualitative and quantitative research skills, and a strong
commitment to ensuring that the Centre’s research contributes
to improving conditions for participants.
Swinburne’s Centre for Health and
Wellbeing aims to contribute to creating a healthy state by:
developing a well-trained workforce.
promoting and providing flexible training in
health and wellbeing throughout Victoria.
providing an Internet hub to link people to
health, arts, and recreation information.
providing innovative curriculum design in health
and wellbeing.
promoting and supporting research.
responding to new skill and knowledge requirements
of state and local government.
forming new alliances and partnerships with
community health agencies, local and state government.
