Innovative Curriculum & Resource Development

The Centre for Health and Wellbeing develops innovative curriculum and resources in a number of areas relating to public health. We operate within a socially inclusive model that aims to not only empower individuals but also tackle the structural inequities that determine health outcomes. Our curriculum and resource development has focused particularly on:

bulletHealth Promotion
bulletPositive Ageing
bulletRegional and Rural Health

We recognize that broader social factors influence health. Consequently, much of our curriculum is designed for those working with people in the disability fields, indigenous communities, women’s groups, and CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) groups.

We also work closely with the allied and complementary health sectors as well as with industry training boards, other universities and TAFEs as well various state and federal government departments, in particular the Office of Training and Tertiary Education (OTTE) and the Department of Human Services (DHS).
