Over 40s and Sole Parents

Re-entering the workforce when you're over 40 years of age or a sole parent can seem a daunting task. But a new Swinburne TAFE program is helping to ease this transition by providing individual pathways support for people in this situation.

The Tap into Training (TAPiT) program provides individual assistance to people over 40 and sole parents to develop new skills to re-enter the workforce. This support includes an individual course advice to update your skills, development of a training plan, 80 hours of training and advice on skills shortages. Financial assistance towards course costs for eligible healthcare card holders.

Training will be provided by Swinburne from accredited training programs, national training packages or appropriate community programs.

Are you 40+ years of age or a Sole parent? Are you thinking about re-training in 2008?
