Advanced Diploma of Screen (Film and TV)
The two years I spent studying the Advanced Diploma of Screen (Film and TV) at Swinburne TAFE was one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life. Although I had very little experience when I entered the course, I quickly found myself handling professional equipment and developing skills in a broad range of areas including scriptwriting, production management, sound design, camera, lighting, editing and special effects.
Small class sizes made it very easy to make friends and develop good working relationships with fellow students. The teaching staff was fantastic and always took the time to help out and give advice and support when needed. In addition to the permanent staff, other industry professionals would often come in for guest lectures that were extremely interesting and valuable. It was certainly an intensive two years but I graduated not only with a broad body of work to put on my show reel, but friendships that will last a lifetime.
