As a graduate of the Advanced Diploma of Screen (Film and TV), I found Swinburne TAFE to provide a superior tertiary experience. The course structure and coordination is extremely progressive with an acute awareness of the changing mediums used to reach audiences. Swinburne put together a cohesive syllabus that incorporated the skill and detail required to step into a dynamic industry as a fully prepared practitioner.
Since Swinburne TAFE I have been working professionally in film and TV and the skills I developed at TAFE are a continual asset that constantly impresses my contemporaries. One of my greatest experiences at Swinburne was the personalised coaching and friendships that are offered to the students by the staff.
In my previous experiences of tertiary education I have never seen this level of care for students. I am proud of the skills and friends I developed at Swinburne and do not hesitate in sharing with people the significant role it played in my professional development as a contemporary filmmaker.
