I found TAFE to be a very hands on approach to teaching film making. The course was comprehensive, and as a graduate I am now capable of approaching any role of film making, whether it be pre production, production, and post-production.
Above all, TAFE gave me an opportunity to make films. With support from amazing teachers I learned via the best method possible: through a view finder, in-front of an editing suite, and amongst a neurotic film crew at 4am, two hours behind schedule. I left TAFE with a comprehensive knowledge of film, a show-reel I can be proud of, and crew that I can trust and rely on. I also believe they threw in a diploma.
