I’ve always had an interest in anything mechanical, particularly from a design perspective. I chose my course after sourcing information from a local engineering firm. They preferred graduates from Swinburne, as the courses offered are more in-depth and hands-on than others available.
As part of my course I’ve been involved in an engineering project for Puffing Billy. We designed a high rail system to fit an existing car, which allowed it to drive on tracks in much the same way as a train. The project gave me the opportunity to work with other engineers and really understand the processes involved in industrial situations.”
