Chan-yu Hung
Advanced Diploma in Computer Systems Engineering
Chan-yu Hung completed the Advanced Diploma of Computer Systems Engineering at Swinburne TAFE in 2008. He was recruited by Telstra in the final semester of his course and is now working for the Telstra Network Engineering department which builds and tests NextG and NextIP networks.
Chan-yu chose to study the Advanced Diploma in Computer Systems Engineering as it is the only course providing training in a variety of programs such as Cisco Academy programs ( eg: CCNA, Cisco Java ) Novell, Linux, Unix, PHP and MySQL. Chan-yu particularly enjoyed the programming, networking, Linux, Unix and Novell components of the course from which he gained skills that can now be applied to his job.
According to Chan-yu, he would never have acquired the job at Telstra if he had not studied this course. He now plans to further develop the skills attained at Swinburne whilst working at Telstra.
