Real Estate ProgramsCareer/Study PathA career in real estate, for many a fulfilling and rewarding career, with specialised areas in Sales, Property management, Buyers Agents, Auctioneering, Owners Corporation Management (previously Body Corporate), or Business Broking. To work in real estate you first have to complete the Course in Property (Agents Representative The Agents Rep course enables you to work for a Real Estate Agent in property sales, property management and Owners Corporation Management (previously Body Corporate). The agents representative course can be undertaken either on campus or via distance learning. It is a prerequisite for the Certificate IV in Property (Real Estate Agency Practice). The Certificate III is a traineeship. It is funded by your employer in partnership with the government. The Agents Rep can be done as part of this course or prior to commencement. You would need to discuss this with your prospective employer first. Please note if you obtain your Agents Representative Certificate first there is a three months window in which to start the Certificate III. Comprising either a sales or property management stream, this course is predominately work based learning, with minimal class attendance. Up to three units of the Certificate III will give you exemptions in the Certificate IV in Property (REAP). The Certificate III in Real Estate is not a pre requisite for the Certificate IV in Property (Real Estate Agency Practice). After completing the agents representative course, you can then start working in real estate and look at furthering your studies with either the Certificate III (Traineeship) and/or the Certificate IV in Property (REAP). The Certificate IV in Property (REAP) - is the educational requirement to becoming a licenced Real Estate Agent, it will enable you to own or manage a real estate business.
