The Apprentice Restaurant at Mitchell's View, Lilydale
The restaurant at Lilydale which is open according to the students time tabled training is situated on level 3 of the TAFE building and overlooks the picteresque Lilydale Lake area. At night it takes on a different feel with the lights of Lilydale twinkling like stars through the large windows that extend along one wall of the building.
Many of the regular diners have been coming for several years and describe the restaurant as 'the best restaurant in Lilydale'. The team of dedicated trainers work hard to keep the high standards of both food and service.
We have an a 'la' carte menu available through the day with menu items from $5.00- $12.00.
Evenings we have a limited choice three course meal for $ 29.50. We are able to cater for the many different dietary needs that come our way, in fact this is great for our learning environment. We are fully licensed and have a small wine list with predominantly Yarra Valley wines at very reasonable prices.
We are well supported by businesses in the Yarra Valley, with many chefs coming in as 'guest chefs', volunteering their time to work with the students and recently had two previous apprentices from 'Stones of the Yarra Valley' come in to work with the students for a session, bringing along with them a table of ten people from the management and staff at the restaurant.
