Delivery and Assessment of Training
Professional Development (QTAFE10)

| This procedure describes
the process involved in planning, applying for, participating in,
evaluating and reporting on professional development. It also includes
the process for maintaining a professional development record for
each staff member.
The procedure aims to ensure that:
 |
professional development is aligned with the
TAFE’s Strategic Planning processes |
 |
staff have the requisite qualifications and/or competencies |
 |
staff are equipped with the knowledge of current and future
trends, and skills in their area of expertise |
 |
access to professional development is fair and equitable
and available to teaching and non-teaching staff |
 |
knowledge and skills gained through professional development
are shared with colleagues |
Professional development opportunities
are provided for teaching staff as required in their enterprise
agreement.
The procedure applies to professional development activities for
ongoing and contract staff and, where specified, to sessional or
casual staff.
