Stephanie Camarena
Course in Carbon Accounting
After several years of keeping a close watch on the Sustainability field Stephanie Camarena decided to enrol in Australia's only accredited course in Carbon Accounting at Swinburne. The National Centre for Sustainability’s close ties with Industry was a contributing factor in Stephanie’s choice to study at Swinburne. She says “the course was very rich in content” and provided her with the ability to undertake a full carbon inventory for any organisation, evaluate the results against current legislation and formulate strategies to avoid, reduce and offset emissions.
Stephanie says “You also become aware of actions which can make a world of difference to the current state of our climate, our environment and our future”.
The course has brought Stephanie one step closer to starting her own business, Factor Ten, a consultancy firm in carbon strategy, eco-innovation and “de-materialisation”.
