"Training for tomorrow today"

Our students play a very important role at Swinergy. Students can expect to be rostered on to undertake facility operations training at the Swinburne sports centre throughout the duration of their course.

Students can expect to assist in the daily operations of the sports centre during the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm. Students need to be aware they are working in a live sport and fitness environment and dealing with staff, students and stakeholders on a daily basis. Therefore it is important to behave appropriately and in a business manor at all times. Remember, first impressions last!

Shifts

Shifts are broken up in to eight hour blocks with up to four students from each course on at one time. Students are expected to be ready in full uniform 5 minutes prior to your shift start time. It is unprofessional and unfair to the other staff to stroll in the door right on your starting time. It only holds everyone up.

Never make your own arrangements with someone or just not turn up to your shift.Note: A medical certificate will be required should you be away for more than one shift.
