Swinburne University Sport and Recreation this semester is offering two fitness classes - Yoga and Fitball - for Prahran staff, students and the general public. To address the health and fitness needs of the Swinburne Community, it is our goal to extend our services to all Swinburne Campuses. FREE TRIAL CLASS Yoga Day: Thursday 21st August Time: 12:30pm - 1:30pm Location: Level 1, 1/40 Green St, Prahran (across the road from NICA)
Fitball Day: Monday 18th August Time: 12:30pm - 1:30pm Location: Level 1, 1/40 Green St, Prahran (across the road from NICA)
Try to get there 5-10 minutes early to ensure a spot as there is limited space and equipment available. Please wear comfortable clothing, runners/sneakers advised. Below is a brief description of these classes. |
| Fitball | (Duration 45 mins) |  | Fitball is a total body workout without any high impact moves, which is ideal for all fitness levels and ages. This class focuses on toning the legs, abdominals and upper body using dumbbells and Swiss balls for balance. |
| | | Yoga | (Duration 60 mins) | | A combination of different styles of yoga, this class incorporates gentle exercise, breath control and meditation. Yoga promotes various health benefits such as alleviation of high blood pressure, improved posture and circulation, and a sense of wellbeing. |

Please Note - To sign up for the classes you will need to fill out a registration form (below) and take it to Student Adminstration to pay.
- Participants are able to pay a casual rate of $16, which is to be paid at Student Administration.
- Classes are designed to suit beginners, intermediate and advanced levels.
- People are encouraged to work within their own limit. When required,instructors can offer alternatives for a more intense/easier workout.
- For your safety late arrivers will not be permitted to enter classes once the warm up is complete.
